This course is designed to introduce you to psychology: the science of human thought, attitudes, emotion, and behavior. In this course, we will discuss a variety of topics and will survey major areas of psychology, including history/scientific foundations of psychology, psychobiological processes, learning/cognition, individual differences, psychopathology/therapy, development/sexuality, and personality/social psychology. We will emphasize the application of psychological principles to our own lives, to current events, and to important issues in society.
